Show Notes 9.13.13

Another great weekend of Ellis Ashbrook music to report on: Two shows, one public, one private; the first from Café Europa in Greenpoint, the second, a two-setter from Bill and Mac’s Surprise Birthday Party in Woodbury, NY. Both were a blast and showcase the band in top form. Here are the complete Setlists:

SET: White Rabbit > So Simple, Therefore However and So Forth, Don’t Give Up (I’ll Be Around), Snakey Got Demonized Big Time [1], Absolute Value, Psychic Vampires [2] > Way [3], Sledgehammer [4]

ENCORE: Fire -> Wipeout [5], Whole Lotta Love [6] -> Fire > Whole Lotta Love

[1] Prior to “Snakey” John commented on reaching the Kickstarter goal. Some new album banter ensued.
[2] John asked for an audience request, response was immediate for “Psychic Vampires”
[3] Close to the Edge quote
[4] With Nick “2G” Williams on vocals including band introductions.
[5] Wipeout started normal but slowed at the end and took on a reggae feel that included a verse of an unidentified Sublime song sung by Natalie then John
[6] Ellis Ashbrook debut
